Ra
This afternoon Miss Denley's dog Ra spent the afternoon in class with us. As you can tell from the photo he was well loved and incredibly happy surrounded by our kids!
Sailing!
Yesterday we had the most fabulous day out sailing - in fact one of the instructors said it was the best day she had ever had teaching kids on the lake!!
We learnt how to rig the boats and the basics of sailing before we headed out onto the water. The light winds at the start of the day enabled us all to have our first try alongside a motorboat safely.
Once the afternoon came, we had 20 boats out on the water and people were racing along - even walking around the masts of their boats! Many capsized and were given a huge cheer of support by their peers!
Thank you to our amazing parents for one of the best days of our year together.

Banqer Auction
This morning was our highly anticipated Banqer Auction. Our virtual bank accounts have been working hard to gain extra money and interest to be spent on items today. Kinetic sand was popular, as were tech items and fresh baked cookies. It was great to hear words like 'reserve' being used, as well as 'increments'. What fun learning!

Salt Dough Creations
Today we are creating Christmas tree decorations out of salt dough. We had to follow a recipe to mix flour, salt and water and then kneed this into a smooth dough. We then used cookie cutter to create shapes before these were baked and decorated.
Our creations came out of the oven looking fabulous!
Next we had to paint them to create Christmas decorations.
What great fun we had today, thanks Miss Perry!
